Fungus (Mold)
A fungus is any member of the group of eukaryotic organisms that includes microorganisms such as yeasts and molds. Mold is a type of fungus. Some types of mold are commonly known as mildew. Mold may live indoors or outdoors and thrives in damp, warm, and humid environments. Although shower stalls and basements are typical moist areas prone to the growth of molds, any moist area in the household may harbor mold, especially water damaged buildings. Mold exists everywhere; however, it colonizes indoors in places where it has a water source (leak, humidity) and Food (building materials, adhesives, cellulose).
